MORRISTOWN (WATE) – Morristown Police Department is launching crime data for locations within the city.
The website has a rolling 180 day set of data. It is searchable by data, crime type and address. Citizens can also register for free email notifications if a crime occurs near their home or business.
Morristown police said they hope the new website will improve community awareness and proactive measures to reduce crime. MPD Chief Roger Overholt stated, “the use of advanced technology can reduce the cost of providing law enforcement services to our community and help make our city safer”.
