MORRISTOWN (WATE) – Two Morristown men face several charges after police discovered jars of what they believed to be moonshine and a still.
Police say Marvin Lee Brady, 48, sold over five gallons of untaxed alcohol, as well as 54 Valium tablets.
When they searched the home of Douglas R. Epps, 72, a moonshine still allegedly belonging to Brady was confiscated. The still was not in operation at the time. Epps was charged with possession of a still.
Brady was arrested at a nearby home where officers found four more jars of alleged moonshine. It’s believed the moonshine was being produced at a third residence which was Brady’s former home.
Epps was cited and released. Brady is being held in the Hamblen County Jail on $17,500 bond.
