MORRISTOWN (WATE) – At a traffic stop in Hamblen County deputies found weapons, drugs and $11,760 in cash.
Guy Walter Mayns, 31, was arrested by the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office on February 9. Deputies discovered two pistols, brass knuckles and drug paraphernalia in his 2003 Ford Expedition.
After Mayns was arrested, a judge gave deputies a warrant to search Mayns’ vehicle. Police found more than $11,000, along with 1.6 grams of methamphetamine and additional drug paraphernalia.
At the time of the arrest, Mayns was on probation. Police charged him with violating probation, possession of drugs with intention to resale, two counts of possession of a firearm and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Currently, Mayns is in jail on a $503,000 bond.
