3 arrested in Morristown after multiple car burglaries, thefts

MORRISTOWN (WATE) – Three people were arrested after multiple car burglaries and thefts happened in Morristown in October.

Investigators say three vehicles were stolen from the West and South Industrial Parks. The vehicles were recovered, including one that was burned in Hamblen County.

Police believe Stephen Booth, Allaniss Booth and Devin Smith stole the vehicles. The Booth siblings are from Texas and Smith is a Newport resident. Investigators tracked a debit card that was stolen and found items that were pawned in Newport.

According to the report, the suspects are connected to more than seven cases.

Allaniss Booth faces charges for theft over $1,000, theft under $500 and car burglary. Stephen Booth faces charges for theft over $1,000, theft under $500, car burglary, joy riding and arson. Devin Smith faces charges for theft over $1,000, theft over $500, car burglary, joy riding and arson. More charges are pending.
